Low Impact Landscape Installations

"We built our Cottage on the shores of Georgian Bay about 5 years ago and decided that we should wait and see what Mother Nature did to heal the scars of construction before we did any landscaping. Our setting is rocky and rugged but it is also very sensitive and we wanted to landscape in a completely natural and simple way and to use indigenous material... such as moss and stones, as much as possible. We invited Robert Allen to have a look at our property, which by then was quite overgrown, and knew immediately that he was the perfect person for the job. He understood and appreciated the special qualities of Georgian Bay and came up with a creative landscape plan that was designed to tame and enhance the site, perfectly matching our vision. We also have high regard for Robert's carefully-chosen work crew. They were extremely hard working and, even more importantly, attuned to the concept of natural and environmentally sound landscaping. They proposed artful ways to accomplish the job at hand and were willing to do a lot of work by hand (including moving enormous stones to more aesthetically appealing locations) so as not to disturb or damage the landscape with machinery.
